Ukrajinská nářečí Slovenska

This publication introduces to the beginnings of dialectological work in the area of the Southern Carpatian Ukrainian dialects, as well as its subsequent progress. The index of contents together with an index of words is a useful aid for finding one’s bearings in the set of 91 CDs with recordings of dialect material. The attached ethnological study acquaints user with the popular calendar and social anthropology of the Ruthenian Ukrainian ethnic group in Eastern Slovakia. The accompanying CD allows the listener to form an impression of the material offered by this audio collection, which is housed at the ASCR Institute of Slavonic Studies.
