Lexikum běloruských nářečí v Litvě. Jazykové dědictví bal­to-slo­van­ského pomezí

The monograph presents the lexicon of contemporary Belarusian dialects functioning in eastern and south-eastern Lithuania. These dialects formed on the so-called the former Baltic substrate, which is clearly reflected at the level of vocabulary. In the speech of the inhabitants, a number of borrowings from Baltic, Polish and Russian languages and dialects can be noted. The publication shows the migration processes of the Slavs and the Balts, having an impact on the formation of the analyzed dialects, and characterizes these dialects both from the point of view of the area, as well as numerous borrowings and convergence processes taking place on this borderland. The second part of the book consists of dictionaries showing the lexis broken down by area and subject, and by borrowings from individual languages.
