The monograph deals with significant developments in post-war Russian poetry and presents the various ways in which poetical works. The first chapter presents the basic theoretical and historical context behind Russian poetry and its study, while the second chapter deals with the ethical model of the lyrical subject, responding to the post-1956 „thaw”, the connections between the avant-garde and socialist realism and the parallels between religious and socialist realist codices. The third chapter presents the development of pluralism in Russian poetry from „vaudeville” poetry to the neo-avant-garde and postmodernism (A. Voznyesensky and G. Sapgir). The fourth chapter focuses on an analysis of the work of A. Kushner. These chapters are linked up in an analysis of the intellectual and philosophical systems of the authors under review. The book is supplemented by Russian and German abstracts and includes an index of names.
