The book consists of 30 studies by authors from the Czech Republic, Slovak Republic, Germany, Austria, France, Switzerland, Hungary, Russia, Ukraine and Poland. It is divided into five thematic sections, in each of which the topic is analysed from a different point of view (literary theory and cultural theory, cultural history, literary comparison, literary images and receptions, philosophical and literary concepts). The main interest is concentrated on the Russian-German literary and cultural contacts, on the problems of cultural transfer, concepts of European cultural areas and the historical and current Eurasian movement. The articles are written in Czech, German, Russian and English, each of them contains the resume in a foreign language. The index of authors together with short information is included.
